Tip Jar

“[Only] Six women have been nominated for Producer Of The Year (though, as yet, no woman has taken home the award),” according to Grammy.com (2014).

Girls Make Beats is here to change that.

Girls Make Beats works with girls aged eight to seventeen to help them further their careers as music producers, DJs, and audio engineers by providing courses on hardware and software and by offering internships at recording studios as well as hosting educational seminars, summer camps, industry panels and networking events.
Girls Make Beats was founded in 2012 by music engineer Tiffany Miranda, who started as a recording artist in the music industry—appearing on shows like American Idol and The X-Factor—who grew her skills to become one of the most sought-after engineers and producers in the industry.

The Los Angeles Chapter Leader is Whitney Taber, who has been working her way up the ladder of the music industry since getting her start in 2011 as an Executive assistant. Shortly after that she began working for the iconic Record Plant recording studio in the Client Service department where she is now the Assistant studio manager.
